COVENANTS OF PROMISE

*Galatians 3:29

If you be the Messiah’s then are ye Abraham’s seed and heirs according to the promise.

*Romans 9:4

Who are the Israelites: to whom pertaineth the adoption, and the glory, and the covenants, and the giving of the law, and the services of Yavhah, and the promises.

*Ephesians 2:12

That at that time you were without the Messiah, being aliens, from the commonwealth of Israel, and strangers from the covenants of promise, having no hope, and without Elohim in the world.

What are the covenants of promise?

1. Abraham was to be the father of many nations with descendants as plentiful as the stars of heaven and the sand on the seashore.

2. These descendants were to inherit a land of “promise”. This has been fulfilled once but will soon be accomplished again with a second Exodus. (Is. 11)

3. Through Abraham and his descendants all the nations of the earth were to be blessed.

4. Abraham and his descendants were chosen to inherit the world and the right to rule all nations.

a. Ps. 47:1-3

b. Dan. 7:27

c. Matt. 19:28,29

d. Rom. 4:13

e. Jer. 33:26

b. 2 Peter 1:2-4 (According as His power hath given unto us all things that pertain to life and holiness, through the knowledge of Him that hath called us to glory and virtue: Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises; that by these ye might be partakers of His nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.)

Luke 1:67-79
