Assembly of Yahvah, sabbath

Who do you say that I am?

Yahshua was anointed, appointed, chosen, called, sent, raised up and exalted by Yahvah, who gave Him a name above all names, so that every knee would bow, every tongue confess that Yahshua is Adonai, to the glory of the Father. (Phil 2:3-11, Acts 4:27, Heb. 1:2, Heb. 5:10, John 17:3, John 20:21, Matt. 12:18 Yahshua asked Peter, “Who do you say that I am?” In Luke 9:20 his answer is recorded in the KJV as the “Christ of God”. In Matt. 16:16 his answer is recorded as “thou art the Christ, the son of the living God.” Yahshua acknowledged that Peter had answered correctly and this understanding had been given him from the Father in Heaven. The word Christ comes from a Greek word (christos) which means anointed. The same word is used in Luke 4:18 where Yahshua said the spirit of (Yahvah) is upon me, because He hath “anointed” me……” Of course the Hebrew equivalent is the word “Moshiach” from which we get the English word “Messiah”. Yahshua said “my Father is greater than I…” John 14:28

Yahshua is the heir (not grantor) of all things and by inheritance has obtained a more excellent Name than the angels. He is the firstborn of many brethren and we are to be joint heirs with Him. We are to partake of His divine nature having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust. If we suffer with Him we will be glorified together with Him and reign with Him. (1 Cor. 6:2,3 Rev. 2:26,27 Rev. 20:4 Matt. 19:28) Yahshua said He and His Father were one, and He prayed that His disciples would be one as He and His Father were. John 17:21,22

Yahshua told Thomas “He that hath seen Me hath seen the Father, which is explained by the fact that He is the express image of the Father. (Heb.1:3) Several times Yahshua is referred to as the word of Yahvah which is the source of power that Yahvah used to create the world. Hence the scriputures that say all things were created by, or through Him. Yahshua is referred to as the head of the assembly, while Yahvah is referred to as the head of the Messiah. (Col. 1:18, 1 Cor.11:3)

Yahshua was accused of blasphemy because He pronounced someone’s sin had been forgiven. But He went on to say “rise up and walk” to the crippled man saying that this miracle was a comparable demonstration of power as saying someone’s sins are forgiven. (Mark 2:9) Later the apostles were given this power to heal, and to pronounce sins forgiven as well. (John 20:23) Yahshua said I am the true vine and my Father is the husbandman. John 15:1 Yahshua also said “ the Son can do nothing of Himself, but what He seeth the Father do….” and “ I can of mine own self do nothing…” Yahshua did not know the time of His second coming. (Mark 13:32)

Yahshua’s humility prevented Him from claiming that He was equal to the Father. (Phil. 2:6) Yahshua submitted to the Father but Yahvah has no one to submit to. Yahshua is the mediator of the New Covenant. He is our forerunner who has already entered into the veil. He told Mary “ I shall ascend to My Father and your Father: to my God and your God.” (John 20:17 KJV) Yahshua is the Lamb of Yahvah worthy to open the scroll of the one sitting on the throne. Rev. 4:10 - 5:9 indicates that the Father is the one sitting on the throne. At the conclusion of this age “When all things are subdued unto Him, then shall the Son also Himself be subject unto Him that put all things under Him, that Yahvah may be all in all. 1 Cor. 15:28

CONCLUSION:

Yahshua is the same yesterday, today and forever. He is the Son of Yahvah, the Word of Yahvah, the arm of Yahvah, the Lamb of Yahvah, and the express image of Yahvah. He is Lord of Lords, King of kings, and has been delegated this authority from His Father in heaven. Our duty is to believe on the One whom He (the Father) hath sent. (John 5:26-29)
